Acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres: what to know before you book

An acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres takes advantage of a city that pairs industrial heritage, a riverfront setting, and event venues that are easily accessible from Montreal in 1.5 hours via Highway 40. The format creates a clear break from the day-to-day office environment. Employees step outside their comfort zones, and communication shifts to a different register. That said, the setting alone does not produce cohesion the program is what makes the difference.

On acting workshops we have run in Trois-Rivieres, we have found that mixed groups managers and frontline staff together progress faster when the scenarios are built around a real business challenge. We select venues after in-person visits across Mauricie: the Centre des arts de Trois-Rivières, the event spaces at the Hôtel Delta Trois-Rivières, and select rooms in the Vieux-Trois-Rivières neighbourhood each suit different group sizes and configurations. To explore all available formats in Quebec, visit our Trois-Rivieres event agency page.

What we plan in Trois-Rivieres

Which corporate event format is right for Trois-Rivieres?

The acting workshop adapts to group size, available time, and the objective at hand. In Trois-Rivieres, three configurations stand out based on the venues and terrain available across Mauricie.

Intensive half-day acting workshop Trois-Rivieres · INNOV'events

01 · half-day (3 hrs)

Intensive half-day workshop

3 hrs. Improvisation, public speaking, and role-play scenarios.

This format covers the essentials in a single morning or afternoon: expressive warm-up, short improvisation scenes, and a group debrief. Groups of 20 to 60 participants develop communication fluency quickly. At the Centre des arts de Trois-Rivières, the rehearsal rooms provide suitable acoustics without additional equipment. Based on our experience across Quebec, the half-day format works particularly well for teams that have never tried this format and want a concrete first exposure. A game show activity can be added at the end to keep energy high through the close.

On request · half-day (3 hrs)

02 · full day (7 hrs)

Full-day team cohesion session

Lunch included. Extended scenes, coaching, and a final presentation.

The full day allows for deeper work: individual coaching in subgroups, construction of a polished scene, and a presentation in front of the full group at the end of the program. Groups of 30 to 120 participants are well suited to this format. At the Hôtel Delta Trois-Rivières, the modular rooms allow for parallel breakout workshops in the morning and a full plenary in the afternoon. A photo booth in the evening extends the creative energy generated during the day.

On request · full day (7 hrs)

Integrated module acting workshop Trois-Rivieres · INNOV'events

03 · 90 min

Module integrated into a multi-activity event

90 min. Integrated sequence between plenary and dinner.

This module fits within a broader program: convention, product launch, or team day. It runs 90 minutes and can involve up to 200 participants rotating across several simultaneous spaces. The shorter format requires focusing on a single objective public speaking or managing stress on camera which makes progress immediately visible.

Frequently asked questions

Acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres: questions we get asked

Straight answers, no filler.

Which venues should you choose for a corporate acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

In Trois-Rivieres, the Centre des arts de Trois-Rivières, the Hôtel Delta Trois-Rivières, the Centre de congrès, Espace Félix-Leclerc, and the Forges-du-Saint-Maurice cover the main group sizes and configurations available across Mauricie. The Centre des arts suits stage presentations and groups that need a fully equipped performance space. For smaller leadership groups, Espace Félix-Leclerc offers a more intimate setting. INNOV'events selects the venue based on group size and program, after an in-person visit.

What budget should you plan for an acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

The budget for an acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres is quoted per project, because it depends directly on group size, venue, duration, season, catering level, and technical requirements sound, video, and production management. These line items vary considerably from one format to another. An itemized quote is provided within 24 hours following a 15-minute brief.

What is the best time of year to plan an acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

May and June are the most favourable window: mild temperatures between 15 °C and 24 °C, venues available without peak-season pressure, and the option to include outdoor sequences at Parc de l'Île-Saint-Quentin. July–August is feasible but venues need to be booked 3 to 4 months in advance. September–October offers a solid alternative with normalized rates. November through April works well for fully indoor formats.

How much lead time do you need to plan an acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

Allow 8 to 12 weeks for a standard format in Trois-Rivieres. The Centre des arts de Trois-Rivières, which also hosts cultural productions, needs to be booked 3 to 4 months in advance for weekend time slots or high-demand periods. For a module integrated into a large-group convention, 4 to 5 months is preferable.

What happens if weather disrupts the outdoor portion of a workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

In Trois-Rivieres, spring weather variability and strong winds along the riverfront are real factors. Every program that includes an outdoor sequence is automatically paired with an indoor alternative, calibrated for the same group size and objective. The choice between the two is made the evening before based on the forecast, with no impact on the run-of-show or the budget.

What activities can be paired with an acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

Several activities complement an acting workshop well in Trois-Rivieres. A MasterChef-style culinary workshop in the evening extends the collective energy built during the day. A game show event at the close channels the communication skills developed during the workshop. A crisis communication workshop suits leadership teams who want to practise speaking under pressure. Each activity is chosen to serve the objective, not to fill a schedule.

How do you get to Trois-Rivieres from Montreal or Quebec?

Trois-Rivieres is 1 h 30 from Montreal via Highway 40 East, and 1 h 20 from Quebec via Highway 40 West. The Gare de Trois-Rivières is served by VIA Rail on the Montreal–Quebec route. INNOV'events coordinates shuttles and transfers from the station or from Montreal-Trudeau Airport (YUL) for groups arriving by air.

Can a hybrid format be integrated into an acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

Yes, a hybrid format is possible in Trois-Rivieres for partially remote teams. The setup includes a live feed, real-time moderation, and a dedicated internet connection to prevent interruptions. Improvisation sequences are broadcast via a secure video stream, and remote participants engage through adapted segments.

How can CSR commitments be incorporated into an acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

In Trois-Rivieres, CSR commitments integrate naturally through the CSR activities available locally and through regional suppliers offering locally sourced products. INNOV'events builds CSR criteria into the selection of venue, caterer, and facilitators from the outset, aligned with the event's overarching theme.

Do you work across the greater Trois-Rivieres area and neighbouring regions?

INNOV'events operates throughout Mauricie, from Shawinigan to Louiseville, as well as in neighbouring administrative regions: Lanaudière, Centre-du-Québec, and Capitale-Nationale. Sites in Bécancour, Saint-Tite, and Victoriaville are also covered for formats that require a location outside Trois-Rivieres.

Which hotels and partner venues does INNOV'events favour for a workshop in Trois-Rivieres?

For an acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres, INNOV'events works primarily with the Centre des arts de Trois-Rivières and the Hôtel Delta Trois-Rivières. The Centre des arts offers a fully equipped stage and rehearsal spaces for final presentations. The Hôtel Delta Trois-Rivières combines modular rooms with on-site accommodation for full-day formats. The Centre de congrès Trois-Rivieres, Espace Félix-Leclerc, and the Forges-du-Saint-Maurice round out the selection depending on group size and desired atmosphere.

The right season in Trois-Rivieres

When should you plan your corporate event in Trois-Rivieres?

In Trois-Rivieres, the timing of your event affects both the weather and venue availability and the two do not always align.

May → June

Our recommendation

Acting workshop in Trois-Rivieres in May–June: the ideal window

Temperatures in Trois-Rivieres range between 15 °C and 24 °C in May and June, without the heavy heat of July or the unpredictability of shoulder season. Event venues are available without the pressure of peak tourism demand. Booking 8 weeks in advance ensures your preferred venue. A photo booth outdoors at Parc de l'Île-Saint-Quentin fits naturally into the day's schedule.

July → August

Mauricie summer · tight on accommodation, high on energy

July and August draw numerous cultural events to Trois-Rivieres, including the Festival international de poésie. Venues need to be booked 3 to 4 months in advance for this period. Heat regularly exceeds 28 °C, making outdoor afternoon modules more demanding. The air-conditioned spaces at the Centre des arts de Trois-Rivières remain comfortable for an intensive workshop.

September → October

Fall in Trois-Rivieres · colour and venue availability return

September brings milder temperatures, between 12 °C and 20 °C, with still-generous sunshine. Venues open up after peak season and accommodation rates return to normal. A MasterChef-style culinary workshop in the evening rounds out a full day of acting workshop activities. Booking 6 to 8 weeks in advance is sufficient for most formats.

November → April

Winter in Mauricie · indoor formats only, venues readily available

Temperatures drop below −10 °C from December through February in Trois-Rivieres, making outdoor activities impractical. Indoor formats including a game show event work very well in the rooms at the Centre des arts or the Hôtel Delta. Venues are generally available on short notice from November through March, except during the holiday season. This is the most accessible window for groups planning 4 weeks out.
